After a slow start to the day, we met up for breakast with Abby, Aubrey, and Bruce. We sat outside and ate wonderful food, and Sean's foot started bleeding for no apparent reason.

Then it was decided that we really needed the remastered version of Thriller, so we headed over to Amoeba and picked one up. We then set out for Laguna Beach, and got stuck in another traffic jam, so we started playing "I went on a cruise and I packed..." and it started with an ant farm, and there was Abby's Great Aunt Gerta and my Hairdresser Henry in there somewhere, and it ended with Sean flying into a murderous rage and stabbing people. And we had finally arrived at the beach, and it was beautiful and fantastic and warm and beautiful and fantastic. We walked along the beach, and then checked out some little tidepools, and then learned about the little sand crabs, which were kind of creepy.

And then we went to a restaurant, where we got nachos and margaritas.

Life was feeling pretty good right then.

And we went to this place that had the most INSANE candied apples, and Bruce got one and we all had slices of it, the coating was really thick and it was all full of peanut butter and caramel and chocolate and some white chocolate, and maybe some marshmallow in there too, and it was so out of control. The Duke totally would have changed his name back if he were there to try some.

We then walked back up by the beach, and went to a little lookout point where we watched the sunset, and I had a phonecall with Gordon Merrick to find out the lyrics to Summer Breeze. Then there was much singing of Summer Breeze. And Abby took this photo, which is so fantastic that we really need to start a band so that this can be the picture on the back of our CD:

Oh, and not to mention the fact that the boys are all really talented, so I bet it would be a pretty good band anyway.

And then we drove back to LA and were really tired and tried to coordinate some sorta plan, which didn't entirely work, but Sean went to some 80's night with Lifestyle alumna Kitten Caboodle, and then Jon and I joined them there. We got recognized when we were leaving, and Jon played along. Not that he looks anything like the Duke, really, but apparently enough to fool that guy.
