Tuesday, June 15

We all met up for breafast again, and this time, Jon and Ruriko tagged along too. Once again, we ate outside, and the food was fantastic, and there wasn't even any bloodshed this time around. Not only that, we saw the dude from Rage Against the Machine eating out front. He was reading Trotsky for Beginners. I'd have thought he'd at least be in the intermediate level of Trotsky-ism by now. Then we went to the Getty, and didn't even get stuck in any horrible traffic jams.

On the nifty tram-thing.

We didn't even end up going inside the museum, just walked around the grounds, and thru the gardens. It was sooo lovely. But then it was time to head back so the boys could get in a Skating Club practice before their show that nite, and we took the scenic route to avoid the rush-hour freeway nightmare. We passed the Scientology Headquarters, which was this creepy blue institution-looking place, which made me want to never become a Scientologist.

So the boys went off to rehearse, and Abby came back with me to Jon and Ruriko's, and then we went over to Chauncy "Dunkin" Boyer and Kitten Caboodle's to do voiceovers for Alien 5 Squared, the upcoming Probot Productions film. It involved a lot of screaming. And then we back to Jon and Ruriko's, where we were joined by my super oldschool friend Tom, and his ladyfriend Polly, and then we all went out to dinner at this crazy Thai restaurant that's supposedly owned by the Thai Elvis or something. I guess we timed it badly, because we arrived for the end of some guys playing Beatles songs, and left as this lady in a scary rhinestone belt was setting up. But the food was highly worthwhile even on its own.

And then we went over to the Silverlake Lounge for the Skating Club show. Which was of course, lovely and nice. Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures of that. And then it was time to say goodbye to our friends, which was sad.
