Finally a day off! Unfortunately it was raining again, so we just had a lazy morning with Gabriel and Stephanie, and then headed north. Nothing too much exciting happened, just a lot of driving.

Here is me driving. Note how happy I look about it.

We took 101 up, so at least there was some nice scenery. That evening, we pulled over at some random restaurant and hung out in the bar to watch the last couple innings of the world series. Lo and behold, Boston won. It made me miss all my friends back home, I'm sure we missed out on a lot of craziness. It was kinda surreal being someplace so quiet for the big event. And plus there was a lot of taxidermy around, it being some "Old West" style restaurant. It was sort of anticlimactic, I guess, we just piled back into the car and drove on for another hour or two until we finally hit more civilization and stayed the most ghetto Days Inn known to man. We really don't ask for too much, but a non-moldy shower curtain would be a good start.

Kinda creepy, hm?   I do enjoy goats, though.
