We found a weird diner and eavesdropped on the ladies next to us who were discussing various reality TV shows. Then it was yet more driving, and we finally reached Sacramento mid-afternoon. We had a fair amount of free time, so I went walking around for a while and hit a couple of thrift stores, although without any luck. The cool thing about Sacramento is that the streets downtown are arranged alphabetically and numerically, which means that random visitors like myself can wander around without getting lost. I found my way back to the boys, who were in a coffeeshop down the street from the club, it had not only wifi but also clear hanging globe chairs. So we hung out in there for a while and then headed over to the club and met Shaun, the promoter, and had very yummy sandwiches. Had a lot of time to kill there because we couldn't soundcheck until 9 or something, by which point people were showing up for our show.

It was a fun dance night, good music, good crowd. It was a little chaotic since the place had just opened and people didn't really know what they were doing yet, but our show was fun. And then after we played, this guy told me the greatest story ever: he and his friend walked in while we were playing, and his friend was like "Fuck this band, they're just ripping off Freezepop!" Ha ha ha ha ha. This brought us much glee.

The tail end of the night got really awesome because they were playing some painful hits of the 80s, but I was really bummed out when they had to cut short "I've got the power" at the end of the night. Oh, Snap indeed. I love that song!!

Then we crashed with this guy Juan, who I'm pretty sure was the fanciest guy in all of Sacramento.
