Breakfast was not nearly as special today. Another drive that was flat and easy, until suddenly it was no longer easy, and there was much traffic that did not move. It was not fun. We finally managed to make it into Chicago, and did an "interesting" interview on some college station there, and then got stuck in more traffic, and finally made our way to Eric Sprague's, aka the guy who introduced the Duke to the QY70. His apartment building was incredibly swanky, and we got to go on the roof deck, although unfortunately the hot tub had been drained for the winter. Aww.

The boys and exciting Chicago scenery, and me with a Ferris wheel! Chicago is actually very pretty, as it turns out. At least the parts we saw.

We headed over to Triple D's for soundcheck, saw Emil and Nick, aka the Mystechs, and met Dan, Lee, and Terry, aka some folks who are making a video for us. Then we went across the street for yummy Thai food with Eric. There is not much I like better in this world than green curry.

Back at the club, we met more delightful superfans, including one guy who drove all the way from Memphis to see us! What can we possibly say to that, besides maybe "wow, I hope we don't suck tonight." And then Liz and Mark showed up, aka Boston pals who have recently relocated to Chicago and graciously let Sean and I crash at their place (even to the point of giving us their bedrooms while they slept on the couches because Sean and I were allergic to their charming cat, Egon).

The show went well, and there were even more folks there than the night before, and afterwards, we spent even longer signing autographs. I'm still finding this pretty funny. I mean, I'm supposed to ask other people for autographs. It's not supposed to happen to me.

The Duke busts out the shark, and Zircon takes over for Sean.
